Last updated 9 October 2026

1. Who we are

  1. 1.1DistribuLink is a network that connects companies, distributors, and salespeople in India.
  2. 1.2This policy explains what we collect, why, who can see it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.
  3. 1.3It applies to the DistribuLink website and to every account created on it. DistribuLink is for people aged 18 or over; we do not knowingly collect information about children.
  4. 1.4Questions about this policy go to support@distribulink.in. Part 11 lists how to reach our Grievance Officer.

2. Information you give us

  1. 2.1Account details: your name, email address, password, mobile number, role, and location (state, district, city or town, address, and PIN code).
  2. 2.2Business details, for companies and distributors: business name, categories, distributor types, companies or brands handled, description, website, year established, and the scale figures you choose to add (warehouse area, vehicles, retailers covered, team size, and sales figures).
  3. 2.3Registration numbers: your GST number, and where they apply your PAN, FSSAI licence or registration number, and Udyam registration (URN) number.
  4. 2.4Salesperson details: your name, mobile number, location, your role in the sales team (such as ASM or BSM) if you give it, and employee code if you add one.
  5. 2.5Referral: if you register as a distributor with a salesperson's referral code, which salesperson's code you used.
  6. 2.6Uploads: a business logo and, for companies, catalogue images.
  7. 2.7Listings you publish, responses you send, the reason you give when declining a response, and testimonials you submit with their rating.

3. Information we create or receive

  1. 3.1The date and version of the terms and of this privacy policy you accepted, and the date of any request to close your account.
  2. 3.2Your verification status, the outcome and notes of any review by our team, and your plan.
  3. 3.3For a salesperson: a personal referral code, and a record of each distributor that registered with it and has been verified, with its business name, town, district, state, and the date it was verified.
  4. 3.4When automatic GST checking is switched on: the registration details returned for your GST number, such as the legal and trade name of the business and its GST status.
  5. 3.5Records of the listings you publish and the responses you send and receive, including how many responses a listing received.
  6. 3.6Technical information our servers and hosting provider process to deliver the site and limit abuse, such as your IP address and browser details. We do not store your IP address in your account.

4. Why we use it

  1. 4.1To create and run your account, confirm your email address, keep you signed in, and show you the dashboard for your role.
  2. 4.2To verify that a business is genuine, by checking its registration numbers ourselves and, when switched on, through a GST verification provider.
  3. 4.3To make companies and distributors findable by partners in search, on public profile pages, and on our home page.
  4. 4.4To pass responses between members and tell a listing's owner who responded.
  5. 4.5To run referral codes: to link a distributor to the salesperson whose code it used, to show that salesperson the distributors they brought in, and to open a new salesperson's access once one of them is verified.
  6. 4.6To rank distributors for companies using verification status, plan, and responses received.
  7. 4.7To publish testimonials once our team has approved them.
  8. 4.8To keep the service secure, prevent misuse, and meet our legal obligations.
  9. 4.9We use your information only for these purposes, on the basis of the consent you give when you create your account and accept this policy, and where the law requires or allows it. Analytics is the exception: it runs only on the separate consent you give in our cookie banner, as described in Part 10. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

5. What others can see

  1. 5.1Public profiles: the profile of a verified company or distributor can be viewed by anyone, without signing in, and search engines such as Google may show it. It shows the business name, role, categories, distributor types, description, website, logo, catalogue images, companies handled, scale figures, year established, state, district, city, PIN code, and verification badge. Your street address is shown only to signed-in members.
  2. 5.2Your GST, FSSAI and Udyam (URN) numbers are shown to others only in part, such as 27**********1Z5 or UDYAM-MH-**-****345. The full numbers are seen only by you and our verification team. Your PAN is never shown to other members.
  3. 5.3Signed-in members can find a company or distributor in search before and after verification (companies and salespeople search distributors, and distributors search companies), with its business name, categories, location, logo, and verification status, and can open its full profile, including its Udyam number.
  4. 5.4Contact details: your contact name, email address, and phone number are visible to signed-in members. If paid plans are introduced, we will tell you before this changes.
  5. 5.5When you respond to a listing, the business that published it receives your business details and contact details.
  6. 5.6Verified businesses may appear on our home page with their name, logo, categories, location, distributor types, and companies handled.
  7. 5.7An approved testimonial appears on our home page with your name, role, business, and city.
  8. 5.8Salesperson accounts are not listed in search or on public pages.
  9. 5.9If you register as a distributor with a salesperson's referral code, that salesperson sees your business name, town, district, and state once your GST number is verified. A salesperson's own referral code is shown only to them, and reaches others only when they share it.
  10. 5.10Our team can see every account record in order to verify businesses, handle requests, and provide support.

6. Service providers we use

  1. 6.1A cloud authentication and database provider: your sign-in, your password, and the records that make up your account and your business profile.
  2. 6.2A hosting provider: the website, our API, and the logo and catalogue images you upload.
  3. 6.3An email delivery service: the messages we send you about your account, such as confirming your email address and resetting your password.
  4. 6.4A GST verification provider, when automatic GST checking is switched on: your GST number and business name are sent to confirm the registration. No payment is processed.
  5. 6.5A public PIN code directory: the PIN code you enter is sent to look up your state, district, and town.
  6. 6.6An analytics provider (Google Analytics, provided by Google), only if you accept analytics cookies: how you use the site, as described under Cookies and browser storage.
  7. 6.7Authorities, courts, or professional advisers, where the law requires us to share information.
  8. 6.8These providers process your information only to provide their service to us, and some of their servers may be located outside India. Write to us if you would like the current list by name.

7. Where and how long we keep it

  1. 7.1We keep your information for as long as your account is open.
  2. 7.2When you ask us to close your account, we close it within 30 days. Closing it deletes your profile, your listings and the responses they received, the responses you sent, your testimonials, your logo and catalogue images, your GST record, and your sign-in.
  3. 7.3If you registered as a distributor with a salesperson's referral code, closing your account also removes your business name and place from that salesperson's list. They keep only the fact that a distributor they referred was verified, which still counts towards their access.
  4. 7.4Information we are required by law to keep is kept only for as long as that law requires.
  5. 7.5Sign-in sessions last up to 7 days and are removed when your account is closed.

8. Security

  1. 8.1Connections to DistribuLink use HTTPS.
  2. 8.2API access uses short-lived access tokens with rotating refresh tokens, and a refresh token is revoked as soon as it is used.
  3. 8.3Our team's access to account records is limited to what verification and support need.
  4. 8.4If a breach of personal data affects you, we will tell you and report it to the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

9. Your rights and choices

  1. 9.1Access: ask for a summary of the information we hold about you and the providers we have shared it with.
  2. 9.2Correction: update almost every detail yourself from your profile page, or ask us to correct or complete anything else.
  3. 9.3Erasure and withdrawing consent: ask us to close your account from your profile page, or by email. Withdrawing consent means we can no longer provide your account, and we delete your information as described in Part 7.
  4. 9.4Withdrawing analytics consent: switch analytics off at any time from Cookie settings, as described in Part 10. This does not affect your account.
  5. 9.5Nomination: name a person who may exercise these rights for you in the event of your death or incapacity, by writing to us.
  6. 9.6We answer a request under this part within 30 days of receiving it.
  7. 9.7Complaints: write to our Grievance Officer first. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
  8. 9.8You can also delete any listing you have published at any time, which removes the responses recorded against it.

10. Cookies and browser storage

  1. 10.1One httpOnly cookie holds your refresh token so you stay signed in. It is sent only to our sign-in service.
  2. 10.2Your browser's local storage keeps your language, theme, and whether the dashboard menu is collapsed.
  3. 10.3Your browser's session storage remembers where you were on some dashboard screens, such as your filters and scroll position, so you can return to them. It is cleared when you close the tab.
  4. 10.4Analytics cookies, only with your consent. Until you accept analytics in the cookie banner, Google Analytics does not load at all and nothing is sent to Google. If you accept, Google Analytics (provided by Google) sets two cookies, named _ga and _ga_ followed by an id, holding a random identifier for your browser.
  5. 10.5With your consent, Google Analytics receives: the page you are on (its address without anything after a question mark) and its title; the page you came from; how long you stay and how far you scroll; clicks on links that leave our site and the address of that link, file downloads, and the fact that you started or sent a form (not what you typed); your device type, browser, operating system, screen size, and language; and your approximate location (country, region, and city), which Google works out from your IP address. Google states that it does not store IP addresses for Google Analytics.
  6. 10.6We never send Google Analytics your name, email address, phone number, account, business details, anything you type, or your password reset code. It never runs on the password reset page. The page addresses we send can include the public id of a business profile or listing, and the address of a link you click to leave our site is sent as it is. We use it only to understand and improve DistribuLink, never for advertising, and we do not link it to Google's advertising products. Google keeps this data for up to 14 months and may process it outside India.
  7. 10.7You can withdraw at any time from Cookie settings at the foot of our home page and directory pages. Once you do, Google Analytics stops sending anything at once and its cookies are deleted.
  8. 10.8Your cookie choice is kept in a cookie in your browser for about six months, after which we ask again. We also keep a record of each choice to show that consent was given: a random consent id, the categories accepted, the version of the notice, the language, the time, and your account if you were signed in. It contains no IP address or contact details.
  9. 10.9We do not use advertising or other third-party tracking cookies.

11. Grievances and contact

  1. 11.1DistribuLink is operated by Distribulink, a partnership firm, Kanadia, Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
  2. 11.2Our Grievance Officer is Ankit Bijoriya, Founder and CEO. Write to them at support@distribulink.in about your data, a request under this document, or a complaint.
  3. 11.3Write from the email address registered to your account, so we can confirm the request is yours.
  4. 11.4We acknowledge every grievance within 24 hours of receiving it, and resolve it within 30 days.

12. Changes to this policy

  1. 12.1When we change this policy in substance, we publish the new version here with a new date, and ask you to review and accept it the next time you open your dashboard.
  2. 12.2The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
